1. OwlScran: a free page plus a media kit for brands
OwlScran gives you a free link in bio with up to 50 sections: links, collections, headings, notes and a contact form that sends visitors’ messages to your account email. You can show a combined follower count from your connected Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook accounts.
The same free account builds your media kit from those accounts. When a brand asks for your stats, you send a link instead of a stack of screenshots. Linktree’s media kit is only for creators in the US; ours is not limited by country.
Check first: There are no analytics on the free page, no checkout and no custom domain for the link in bio. Analytics and removing the badge come with Link in bio Pro.

Beacons combines a link in bio with a store, email marketing and a media kit. Its pricing page lists a daily-updating media kit, unlimited digital products and Instagram auto-replies on the free plan.
The Creator plan ($10 a month) adds a free custom domain. Creator Plus ($30 a month) drops seller fees to 0%.
Check first: Beacons takes a 9% seller fee on sales made on its free and Creator plans. Check which plan removes Beacons branding before you commit.
Compare Beacons with OwlScran3. Stan: courses, coaching and digital products
Stan is a store built into your link in bio. Courses, digital downloads, bookings, memberships and lead magnets all come with the Creator plan, and Stan takes 0% of each sale. Stripe or PayPal processing fees still apply.
Creator Pro adds email marketing, upsells, payment plans, ad pixel tracking and the option to remove Stan branding.
Check first: There is no free plan and no custom domain. We found no media kit or connected social stats in Stan’s help centre.
4. Later: if you already schedule posts there
Later is a social media scheduling tool, and Link in Bio comes with a Later plan. Your page can send each Instagram or TikTok post to its own destination, alongside buttons and featured media. Link analytics go back up to a year on the Starter and Growth plans.
Later also has a media kit for Instagram and TikTok. You refresh its figures by pressing Update Data, up to once a day, and sharing it needs a paid plan.
Check first: Later’s help and marketing pages still call its link in bio free, but its pricing page lists only paid plans and a 14-day trial, so check before you sign up. There is no built-in checkout.
5. Carrd: a one-page website on your own domain
Carrd builds one-page websites rather than link lists, so you design the layout yourself. That takes longer than adding links to a list, but you control the whole layout.
Pro Lite ($9 a year) removes the branding. Pro Standard ($19 a year) adds custom domains, forms, analytics through a provider such as Google Analytics, and Stripe and PayPal embeds.
Check first: It is a general website builder. Its Pro plans do not list a follower count or a media kit, so you would build those yourself.

Your questions
Which Linktree alternatives are free?
OwlScran, Beacons and Carrd have free plans. Stan offers a 14-day trial, and Later’s pricing page lists a free trial. For a free page plus a media kit for brands, OwlScran (we make it). To sell on a free plan, Beacons, though it takes a 9% fee on those sales. For a one-page site you design yourself, Carrd.
Do these work on Instagram and TikTok?
Yes. Any of them works wherever your profile accepts a website link. Later can also send each Instagram or TikTok post to its own destination.
What do I lose by leaving Linktree?
Your Linktree analytics stay with Linktree unless you export them, which needs Premium. You also need to change the link in each social profile. Build and publish your new page first, then switch the links over.
Why is OwlScran on this list?
We make it, so read our section with that in mind. We have kept to what each company says on its own pricing and help pages, and linked them below.
